Here's a few Fall pics to please my readers until I have some more time to write something with substance. Jack has GROWN over the last few months...and was less than thrilled to have his picture taken with fall decorations at our house:
My mom spent the weekend with us in early October and we visited the Noblesville Farmer's Market in search of some mums and pumpkins to decorate the outside of our house with. Long story short...I'm officially old. I truly enjoyed picking out flowers and squash for the sole purpose of creating that seasonal atmosphere that we think of this time of year. I thought maybe I wouldn't feel the need for such things until I was mid thirties...but I guess not!
I've posted this next photo to share with you a Halloween favorite of ours...Kitty Litter Cake! Don't be fooled, those aren't really cat turds. But it looks like it, doesn't it??? I found this recipe a couple of years ago and have had fun making this cake and seeing the looks on people's faces when I present it to them. Even funnier is the expressions on people's faces while they watch someone else actually scoop out and eat some of this masterpiece!
Kitty Litter Cake I was lucky enough this year to do a little Trick-of-Treating with two of my favorite little costumers - our nephews Evan and Graham! Be careful, the pirate is skilled with his sword and the lion has an unsatiable appetite (seriously).
Evan the Pirate
Graham the Lion
Have a great week, I promise to update more soon!
